Located in a quiet area in the center of Winterthur, the Bed and Breakfast at Villa Jakobsbrunnen offers four comfortable rooms, each of them individually decorated and having a great view to the large garden surrounding the house.
All units offer comfortable double-beds as well as a private bathroom. They share an open kitchen with toaster, microwave, oven, dishwasher and more. Guests at the bed and breakfast can enjoy a continental breakfast included in the room price as well as free coffee and tea around the clock.
Our guests can also relax in the large garden surrounding the mansion or in the lounge area in the court yard covered by a sun roof.
The late baroque, early classical style mansion «Villa Jakobsbrunnen» (Jacob’s fountain) was built in 1790 and totally renovated in 2001. The estate comprises the main house, old stables and other buildings. It is situated in one of Winterthur’s quarters called «Inner Lind» one of the oldest and most popular places of the city center, two minutes walk from the old part of town and just 10 minutes from the main station. Despite the central location it is only a short walk to the edge of «Goldenberg» forest, which offers a great walks and a wonderful view over the city.
Villa Jakobsbrunnen is located a 6-minute walk from the Winterthur Art Museum and 600m from Museum Oskar Reinhart. Casino Theatre is 1 km from Villa Jakobsbrunnen. There is a supermarket just 200m from the property and several restaurants are located withing waking distance.
Winterthur, the sixth-largest Swiss city is an inside tip for cultural events. It is located just 20 minutes away from Zürich Airport by rail and 25 minutes from Zurich City Center.
