Welcome at «Jakobsbrunnen» in Winterthur, Switzerland
The late baroque, early classicist manor house «Jakobsbrunnen» (Jacob's fountain) was built in 1790 and completely renovated in 2001. The quiet property includes the main house, old stables and the «Haus im Hof» (house at the courtyard), formerly the economy building which was also built in 1790.
It is located in a Winterthur neighborhood called «Inner Lind», one of the oldest and most popular places in the city center, two minutes walk from the old town and only ten minutes from the main train station. Despite the central location, it is only a short walk to the edge of the hill forest «Goldenberg», which offers a great view across the city.
Winterthur, the sixth largest Swiss city, is a well-known oasis for cultural events. It is only 13 minutes by train from the airport and 17 minutes from the center of Zurich.
The "Haus im Hof" can be booked for a maximum of 2 people and from two nights upwards. It is not suitable for children. Pets are not allowed.
Check-in is possible from 15.00 to 19.00. For arrival times outside these times, please enquire in order to find an individual solution.

The Haus im Hof is part of the historic Villa Jakobsbrunnen estate and is just a 6-minute walk from the Winterthur Art Museum. The Oskar Reinhart Museum is only 600m away and the internationally renowned photo museum with the affiliated foundation is a 5-minute walk away. The well-known Casino Theater is just 900m away from Villa Jakobsbrunnen.
There are various grocery stores just 200m from the property and a wide variety of restaurants can also be reached in just a few minutes on foot.
Winterthur, the sixth largest city in Switzerland, is an insider tip for a varied range of cultural events. It is just 20 minutes by train from Zurich Airport and 25 minutes from Zurich city centre.
